I love making these armrest pincushions (see my tutorial here) so I was delighted when I was asked to make one for a blogging friend. She chatted with me about colors and I sent some pictures of fabrics. In the end, I had to make two and let her decide.
She picked this version. Both red prints are DS Quilts fabrics and the dot is from Jennifer Paganelli's "Queen Street" line. I think that it is a perfect coordinate!
The other pincushion uses two Bliss fabrics for the cushion and the binding. The red gingham is Riley Blake, Sew Cherry, Sew Gingham in Red.
This pincushion is in my shop now.
Check out the Garden Tour if you haven't yet. And please join in! We only have a few gardens on the tour at the moment but they are all beautiful and unique! Click the "Click here" link at the bottom of my post to see the gardens on tour and to add yours. If you have any trouble at all, email me!
When I see the two together, it makes me realize how painful it was to choose between them! I can't wait to receive mine, and my family will be grateful not to have to sit on a sofa bristling with pins and scissors!
